FAQ

1

Do I need to provide a mat?
We provide mats in the studio that are cleaned after each class. You are welcome to bring your own mat but just place it over a mat that is already there to keep our spacing the same.

2

Which class would be best for a beginner just getting into working out?
All of our classes are generally “all level” classes that can be modified as necessary! Our instructors are wonderful at showing modifications and if you have specific issues, you can talk to the instructor prior to class. While our classes are all levels, they vary in their level of intensity. Please reach out with questions regarding specific classes if you would like more information.

3

How do I see my booked class?
Once you book a class, you will get a confirmation email. Please be sure to enter the correct email address! In addition, if you create an account with us on our website, you will have access to all of your past and upcoming bookings as well as the ability to cancel a class.

4

How many participants are typically in each class?
Since we are a small boutique fitness studio, a typical class will have between 5 and 15 people. The max for POUND is 12, while the max for most other classes is about 15. We may choose to cancel a class if we have less than 3 people up to a few hours before class starts. Please be sure to check your class bookings and messages for any updates.

5

Do you offer childcare?
Both locations have a space where children ages 5+ are welcome to hang out independently while their parents get their workout in. Please email the studio at studioupliftplymouth@gmail.com to reserve their spaces. There is no charge.

6

Does your schedule stay consistent?
Our schedule is ever changing based on instructor schedules, but there are some classes that will continue to stay consistent days with occasional time changes. We typically change our schedule every couple of months. We offer some pop up classes once a month as well as workshops and events. Be sure to download our app (Spaces by Wix) to receive our updates.

7

Can I get my first class for free?
The studio is always offering incentives and promotions to win free classes or save you money. We often run contests to win free classes. With this said, if you have a need for a first class free, please reach out as we would certainly want to help make sure you can try a class with us.

8

How do I cancel class?
If you need to cancel a class, please make every effort to do so within 4 hours before class starts in order to open up a spot for someone else. If you’ve created an account, you will have the ability to cancel it yourself and we will get notified. If you do not have an account, you should email the studio with “class cancellation” in the subject line. More information about our class cancelation policy can be found on this page.

9

Which classes are heated and what is infared heat?
Some of our mat pilates, vinyasa yoga, and yoga sculpt classes are heated and they are listed as heated on the schedule. Heated classes are offered at our Village Landing location. Infrared heating utilizes invisible, low frequency waves to gently heat the body from within. There are plenty of benefits to incorporating infrared heating into classes including deep tissue penetration, detoxification, improved circulation, enhanced flexibility, and more. While the infrareds will be on, the heat will not be overbearing. It can be described as a warm hug. Always be sure to consult a doctor if you aren’t sure if a heated class is good for you!

10

Do you have parking?
Yes! Both locations offer free parking. There is a large lot behind the Village Landing. Anyone taking a class at Uplift will be given a code for the pay meter to override the parking fee (summer only). Please email the studio for the code.

Our White Horse studio has a small lot located diagonally across from the Post Office lot, behind the old General Store. Please refrain from parking in the Post Office lot, which is directly behind the studio. Look for the Studio Uplift parking signs.

What is the best way to stay updated?
When you create an account you will have access to our app (Spaces by Wix) which is where we communicate with members. Messages come out each month with schedule updates, pop-up dates, and events. Following us on Instagram is another great way to stay updated. We are always posting current events, pictures, class videos, class changes or updates, and more, to our stories throughout the day.
